Extreme highspeed bug

It has come to my attention that there is no vsync option, thus resulting in high fps(in my case over 200 fps). This has made the game run at 4x its regular speed(or so I think) making it almost impossible to walk into doors, trying to position oneself next to a chest and difficulties navigating through narrow paths.
Is this a problem found within the game or are my hardwares/softwares at fault?
Please reply ASAP.
