The new date is November 4th 00:00 GMT, as opposed to November 4th 18:00 GMT.

So wait, one day and 23 hours for me... its 8:00 on the first for me right now, one day would be the second, 23 hours would be... 7:00 PM on the 3rd?

What time zone are you guys in?

I caught this today too, and it kinda surprised me. :0

And yeah, it should be Friday morning, literately 12:00am. This really helps me out honestly, I had to go somewhere on the weekend. x)

No, its well established that Sonic Generations Physical release is later in the month, not on the 4th. Game haven't corrected their release date, however Play and Amazon have.

Physical retail version is currently dated the 25th most retailers.
Game will probably update their site sometime soon.

Unless game have found someway to delay other retailers stocking the game, instead of their usual trick of stopping games being orderable on steam before release (i.e. Red Faction Armageddon, Space Marine and Saits Row the Third.).

As others have said, it will be released later in europe.

It's cheaper elsewhere, for example, thehut had it for £14.95 and that came with a free copy of "Sega Mega Drive Classic Collection: Volume 1".

I don't know why they brought the US date forward a day, rather than just having a universal release date.

Actually, the Steam release has been changed for both US and EU. In EU they changed it from 6PM to midnight, basically the game is being released 18 hours earlier. In the US it was the same change, 18 hours earlier, which makes it so the game is being released on November 3 instead of November 4.
It's still a worldwide simultaneous release.

Actually that 17.99 on game is British Pounds which are still slightly more valuable than Euros which would be 20.95€ but given the UK tends to devalue games faster it seems for the UK the price is accurate.

Mainland EU is probably getting it around 30€ which is what is on steam.

And if I read correctly only the EU region is getting a collectors edition that's probably what is delayed in EU but I could see retail delayed on some countries not the whole territory.

Looking at the store page it looks it will unlock for me at midnight tonight.

I'll probably buy a boxed version on a sale too just to have it on my shelf.

The consoles versions are being released at a later date in Europe not because of the collector's edition, but because retail games are usually released on fridays for European countries, just like how they're released on tuesdays for the US.
