I dont have the hat, and I honestly and whole heartedly agrree with this, if people that pay around $32 (cant remember) get the stamps effect on every map, there could be like red crosses (maybe not, conflicts with the overhealed thing) or little green cash signs, or little japan flags rotating around your head.

No need. You paid $100 just for the hat? I dont think so.. You paid $100 to donate to charity.. and the hat is just extra.. Putting an effect on it would make people jelly and complain on the forums saying PUT THE HAT ON THE STORE! WE WANT IT NOW!!!! VALVE PUT IT OR ELSE! VALVE U SO SUCKY Y U NO PUT STORE ANYMORE?

Those are some examples of people would say.. You got a hat that only some people got it for being kind.. It looks great the way it is. Dont be greedy and want something new for it just because it looks dumb to you.. It looks great to other people and sometimes people worship you.. (Only for the game)

If you want an effect to the hat, you weren't giving to charity.

You were buying a hat so you could rub how "charitable" you were in other people's faces.

Couldn't of said it better, wanting something more for your charity defeats the purpose in some sense.

in fact,when you are talking about "donating" something,you aren't waiting anything else in return,valve doesn't need to give you anything,but as they like how you care for donating money to japan,they reward you with a hat.

I donated cause i trust valve to send the money to them and got a small prize for it. I think of it as a momento and i'm still hoping the people in japan will be okay.

I like to donate, I like TF2, I like hats, I like effects, stuff and extras. Nothing bad about it.

I donated and do have the hat, but I never wear it.

Sadly though, I do think it and any of the charity hats now and in the future should have some wild and crazy unusual effects as an incentive to get people to donate to whatever charity the hat is promoting.

That, and a combo flaming-sunbeams monarch would be pretty sick.

Or a flaming planets effect.
