Cant even run the game....

Hi guys i just got inmomentum for me and a friend and he is able to play perfectly with no problems...

But i cant even start it -.- i get this weird thing where it says its preparing to launch and then just desent start it just goes back to steam.

Ive tried doing this

1. Shut down Steam
2. Go to:
STEAM INSTALLATION\Steam\steamapps\common\inmomentum\Red ist
3. Run:
dotNetFx40_Full_x86_x64
4. Run:
vcredist_x86_vs2008sp1
5. Run:
vcredist_x86
6. Go to:
STEAM INSTALLATION\Steam\steamapps\common\inmomentum\Red ist\DirectX
7. Run:
DXSETUP
8. Restart your PC
9. Make sure your Firewall is not blocking inMomentum
10. Start Steam and try running InMomentum again

Still wont help ive completely reinstalled everything on this list even InMomentum and Steam like full on uninstall then reinstall.

Please help i dont know what to do

Plus i have a computer 10 times better than my friends and im able to run skyrim on ultra so its not my pc that is bad.

PLEASE HELP ME

Do you have an antivirus running? If yes, which one?

i dont have any anti virus or firewall running at all

I can play witcher 2 on all high. I've done the same steps as up top. I do have a anti-virus doing, but it's never done anything like this before, "using Avast".

Turned off avast and didn't help. All firewalls are open also.......

Nintendan, that is a Steam Installscript error. We are fixing that soon, probably this evening if the patch goes through (depends on Steam).

I am also getting this problem, I just click "Close" and the launcher stays stuck on installing the Microsoft .NET Framework.
Edit: Welp, it just stopped trying to launch completely.

Just delete both the .vdf files and it'll run.

I just went in and ran it directly (which worked) and now it launches from Steam just fine.
