Keeping weapons after beating Dead Horde

I bought the two pack of Dead Horde for me and a friend and after beating it we figured we could play through again with our upgraded weapons we earned during the first play through.

When I try a new campaign though it asks me if I really want to start over.

Is it possible to start a fresh coop with your upgraded weapons? If not, why would you do this? Kinda kills any replay value.
