News update: Are you using the "Skyrim4GB" patch from skyrimnexus.com - IT WILL NOT WORK.
I just tried starting the game normally through Steam, and here are the results.

BEFORE (11.11a)
AFTER (11.11b)

"Horray" the framerate got doubled, which is amazing, sadly it's just white now... Alt-tabbing back and forth gave different results, sometimes it was EVEN BRIGHTER - and sometimes it was blinking like crazy (remember Crysis 2?).

This is what happens when I alt-tab back to the game, it looks normal, but then I press escape to play again and BAM!
