Problem w/ Geneforge 5: Overthrow

Hey guys, is anyone having any trouble starting geneforge 5: overthrow? the icon shows up as a windows explorer document (.url) and has no icon image (other than the standard document image). I am very puzzled by this, because I bought the saga on steam and geneforge 1-4 work just fine. I beat geneforge 1 a long time ago on another computer and i am a huge fan of the saga. I am really excited to okay the rest of it, but I need number five to work too!

anyway, when i try to start it, it says, " this game is currently unavailable. please try again at another time." if anybody else out there is experiencing trouble along these lines, please let me know. any advice from anyone would be appreciated, but please note that i have already tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game (though at 2.0 mb/s it takes like 2 seconds ). i bought it last week and have not owned it that long, so perhaps i just need to wait or something, but i am very puzzled and anxious to see if it will work at all.

Try going to the dev website and downloading the demo and see if that works for you. If it does you can email support@spiderwebsoftware.com
Tell them your problem and give them your steam confirmation code. they should give you an activation key to make your demo the full game.

I had to do this with Avadon. They responded the next day and I got a key .
