Can't Delete Ep0?

I'd like to delete the free episode since it' over a GB. There's no option.

I agree that it would be a good idea if, when you installed the PCG client, you then had to specifically install Episode 0 and could then delete it at a later date, if you wanted to free up the 1.27GB that it occupies. At the moment, it just seems to be an integral part of the client.

I was curious myself if it would be possible to manually delete and then reinstall Episode 0, so I tried the following.

1. I manually deleted the folder "Steam\steamapps\common\pc gamer digital edition\Episodes\0" and then confirmed that the PCG client and the other episodes still launched OK. Episode 0 was still listed in the catalog, but if I clicked on the "Launch" button the client crashed. Obviously you have to completely delete the folder to reclaim the 1.27GB, not just put it into the recycle bin.

2. I verified the game cache for the client and the 114 missing files for Episode 0 were reacquired. I relaunched the client and checked that Episode 0 would again launch OK.

So, even though the above is a slightly messy way of deleting and reinstalling Episode 0, it does seem to work.

You're welcome. If, like me, you have all your Steam games on an SSD, every GB counts.
