Is this anything alike Penumbra?

I really thought of Penumbra: overture when I first saw this game. If it's anything alike it - I will get it!

No. That doesn't mean the game is bad, it truly is an excellent game, but let's just say it's unique, which is the only common point with Penumbra in my opinion as both games have a unique atmosphere that isn't found in most (if any) games. I guess.. at certain points, I could understand how people could compare it to Penumbra just because you are alone in a sea of.. nothingness. Perhaps the feeling you get is similar.

Be wary of how the game runs though, it is VERY badly optimized, but that didn't stop me from loving every second of it.

I do think it's a lot like Penumbra. Sure, it's very different but Penumbra is spot on - that's what comes to mind.
