I think the DRM is really redundant since I see Steam as a sort of DRM already. Also what is the point of all these DRM, go visit a warez site and u will see all ur DRMs have been cracked.

I have not purchased or played a single Ubisoft release ever since the requirement of always on internet DRM.

I will *never* buy an Ubisoft game. Ever. First think (really!) I look at when a new game is released: is it Ubisoft? is it? don't even read reviews.

They always scre*w their games with AGRESSIVE, REDUNDANT and PROPRIETARY DRM/launchers on top of Steam or whatever.

Grow up and learn to sell games in the digital age, or don't sell at all. Ubisoft is probably the MAIN reason hackers have a field day hacking every game out there. E.A. games was once like this and lost so many customers they learned to take it easy (anyone remember "Spore" DRM fiasco?)

From Dust. I was really looking forward to it, until they catastrophically screwed over people. They insisted there would be no DRM. And magically, once purchased, it was slapped on. I think they are revoking the DRM on this game, and any STEAM purchasers have been offered a refund because of that violation.

I loved the first AC I played. And I want nothing more than to continue the franchise. But I will not so long as UbiSoft requires their intrusive DRM.

And, while I'm NOT, nor will ever advocate pirating games, AC, despite the DRM, was still pirated and cracked. I don't get why they still insist on using this shoddy system when it's proven ineffective for those who wish to pirate a game, and a huge annoyance and punishment for those who legitimately purchased their games.

I have loads of friends that pirate games, and ubisoft helps me understand why they do it.
