So after playing the game for a bit, I realized a few things.
1: There isn't too much depth to the game to keep me interested for hours. Right now, you just seal off caves, fast forward, build the occasional outpost, win. So, I think that it would be awesome, if you made the starting city, have more; buildings. I find it awesome, on how the grass starts to grow, and more building's pop up, but wouldn't it be awesome, if you could place buildings on the grass, to "upgrade" your overall structures. For example, you could build Barracks on the grass (only) to raise the maximum amount of warriors allowed to guard the city. Or if you built bunks, or houses that would increase the speed of which the Mining Dwarfs spawn? So instead of keeping 10,000 gold, you would have to wisely spend it. Well, should I more of x, or get z? I think, it'd be AWESOME, if this was applied for outposts. Making them have a meaning. Right now, I build them on the fly for the cannon, or have a dwarf dig far away to expand my mines. Now, I'm proposing, that you can purchase an upgrade, to expand the gray bricks on the floor, for additional room to buy more structures that can only be placed on stone floors. An example of this, would be gun powder, that allows the cannons to be shot further. To balance this, the gun powder storage building, would cost a good amount, and then you would have to expand your stone floors, also taking money. This would only apply for that single outpost. So it would take a whole new meaning to the outpost, to turn it into another base. So it could be upgraded with buildings on the side, to make it spawn the Digging Dwarfs faster, or make it so you can have 5 warriors, instead of 4. 2: There is a lack of monsters, they feel dull, and repetitive. I'd suggest making more minions, bosses, that are used in combos. Such as a slow moving tank minion. Or a speedy fast attacking minion with a lack of HP? 3: After messing around with the menu on the city, I found a list with some towers, or pictures. This leads me to thinking, wouldn't it be great if you could turn an outpost, into a tower? Such as an archery tower, now of course, it would still have it's cannon, but it would make the outpost have it's own defense, and all of the great features. This would cost extra money to upgrade the outpost. Sorry for the wall text >.< I love this game, and it has potential to draw people in longer, because for me as a gamer, I wouldn't buy this amazing game, for a few dollars. If it didn't last me a good amount of time. So I would like to see this game involve a thinking aspect to it. A small one, but to have it there and make you feel more in power, instead of placing a few things, sealing off caves, and telling your stupid army where to go :3 Now the remainder of my ideas will be the extra game modes. Base Defend: This is one of the main reasons that made me buy dwarfs, and it's great, but needs perfecting. As a new comer to the game mode, I didn't know what the towers did. Now you can keep your mouse of the button for a few seconds to see what it is, but it doesn't give you stats. It would be lovely to tell you what situation it is good in, and how much damage it deals, range. Now these stats would be level one. Then it would tell you what the stats are fully upgraded. To let you know what's the best tower, for what you want. A fast firing tower that is deadly in the end? Or a tower that practically freezes unit's in place. So it not only tells you what you get in the begging, but the end to allow easier game play that flows. A new game mode: I was thinking on how dwarfs is fun and all. I love on how it has the extra game modes that isn't just the main game, but a bit more challenging. I think it would be awesome if you made a game mode called: Gold rush. This is a simple game mode, where things happen unexpectedly. As the title says, it would be a game, where points, are nothing. You don't get any points. Instead the game gives you money for your hard efforts. so when you play, you wouldn't get points for doing anything. Instead the amount of money that you get stays the same for doing tasks. This game mode will be difficult, because it would have caves that have a higher chance of having minions and bosses in it that usual. Maybe some more water in caves too :3 So it's a struggle for money, because you don't want to spend your money, because it would decrease your score, but you can't keep all of it forcing you to spend it in most cost effective! Then, at the end of the game, the game would convert all of your remaining gold into points, plus the amount of blocks you dug out would also be put into points So thanks for reading all of it (if you did If you didn't read the suggestion above this text, it's my favorite ) I really would LOVE to see the Gold Rush game mode added

I think new monsters would be neat, but I think the variety is good enough as it is now.
I think the depth of the game is what they intended. It's a score-based game, so your goal is to do better than previous attempts. |

I don't think the focus on improving and expanding should be on monsters. The combat is clunky and you would not enjoy more complex enemies a lot more since you are basically just moving your warriors around.
The fun of this game is managing your diggers and caves. I see potential in it for new stuff. |
