What got you playing DOD on Steam? - Page 36

I got the CS anthology, and I used to play TFC from the HL1 Anthology I played the hell out of CS, then I noticed DoD,and thought it would be like Medal of Honor" or COD1 or 2's Multiplayer. Nope totally different, but I got hooked, now I LOVE this game.

I got a cs anthology retail (basically to play cs) but when i opened the library i saw this one too.I liked it but i don't play it anymore,maybe i'll download it sometime and play again.

I have been playing DoD since it appeared on Steam...some are right, there are a lot of counterstrike players who play it and 'camp' the route, knocking you out by the spawnpoint and suchwhat....DoD source is ok but like with CS source, isn't the orignal

I had DoD well before Steam, but continued on when it was available on Steam as our gaming clan was specifically just for Day of Defeat. Not a better game out there...just my opinion

I got Steam to play DoDS, then I wanted to try DoD 1.3 out. Playing both ever since DoDS came out.

Yeah I think I got steam because of when CS made it mandatory. But I already had been playing lots of DOD with my room mates. We had a little clan we called section8 and we had a blast with DOD.

Im re-installing it now after 10 years since It seems like some of you still play. Nostalgia time!

Oh yeah. Checkout dod.dexworld.org server. Its a custom map server with the standard maps as well. Has people playing on usual play hours and overall some good laid back people. Also has its own community of mappers and our maps are put on there.

Played dod b4 steam came and was gutted with DoD:S, all the dod need was a face lift, keep the same maps and get some new ones, same classes but no they chnage it all made some maps smaller and made the kits annoying now so all i got is a rifle and no back up weapon

i still prefer buttsmacks and bayoneta stabbing then iron sights that was just a pointlkess idea.

BOOOOo for taking the brits out.

I used to play DoD with my dad way before steam, and then one day we were freaking out becuase we couldn't play it anymore, we thought our game was broken. I forgot how we found out but we figured out that we needed to download this thing called "Steam" to play our game, and so we did and still playing DoD to this day.

DoD is the BEST game (not just FPS) that I have ever played in my entire life of my playing video games. CS is #2
