Why?

So, aside from all the other things people have pointed out that is potentially wrong with this release, I have to ask, do we need another scrolling shooter?
I had a quick play with the demo and I can say for sure I prefer Jamestown (short as it may be), even though it costs more.
But we also recently got those Gundemoneum games so, is there a compelling reason why someone should purchase Satazius over any of those?
Sidescrolling shooters have very few differences. Heck, if you already own a retro sidescrolling shooter, is there a reason to buy one on Steam at all?
