How to enable gamepad Support?

Before you call me crazy, yes, I know this shouldplay way better with a Mouse, but there's an achievement that ask for us to get a perfect score in the 1-1 level using a gamepad, how do I configure this?

I already activated the thing in the options but it's not working. I guess only Xbox pad support? Since I'm using a Logitech one.

I'm using an Xbox pad, just had to activate it in the options menu.

It's annoying tho, I always miss a few blocks. Screw controllers in this game.

You don't have to do the whole level. Just the easiest part.

Im using a rumble pad 2 and this game is not working at all for gamepad. any solution or is it completely bugged?

How we can enable other than XBOX Pad? I haven't got this console or PAD for it.

Someone posted a possible solution here. You need an Xbox gamepad emulator. Unfortunately that doesn't work for me, the game always crashes when it's active.

Still it would be nice if it supported the logitech rumblepad. Otherwise don't go calling it gamepad support, but just call it xboxpad support :P

Hmm, well I did use the X360 gamepad emulator to configure my Rumblepad's controls, but the game still didn't register for some reason. Any help with that anyone?

I also have a trusty Logitech Cordless Rumblepad and would like to see 'real' (i.e. not brand-specific) gamepad support.

I got the achievement with a wireless X360 controller. It was pretty frustrating. The first time I got it, Steam went down so it didn't even register so I had to do it a second time. Took a bunch of restarts :P Pretty satisfying after you get it though.

Well that's great, the game only supports Xinput gamepads and when you try to emulate one it crashes.

I still don't understand why developers use Xinput instead of the old DirectInput.
