It's a game and it is fun. You play as a god-type creature but that is the extent of it. If you read more into it than that, you are not playing the game correctly.

1) As a Christian, I don't find it offensive whatsoever.

Absolute rubbish.

Take it to www.onlinedebate.net, not a STEAM game forum where someone is asking for help.

He/She brought up some very valid points, however, regardless of sounding harsh.
No, there were not "valid points" whatsoever. "Validity" is an attribute of an argument. No arguments (conclusion that is supported by reasons) existed. They were opinions, nothing more. There's a difference.

It'd be nice to get back to the point though. Would you find it blasphemous?
I find the discovery of Dark Energy and Dark Matter fascinating. Although there is a passage in the Bible that talks about "God" is the one holding things together in the Universe like the Dark Matter does. Colossians 1:17

However Dark Energy is expanding the Universe and could result in the big rip. All molecules and atoms ripped apart. Seems to me that science can be found in most holy books, if you look for it.

Really interesting if you ask me.

And to the OP. No this game is not blasphemous. There is nothing wrong with enjoying yourself and having fun.

No flame-wars please.

First, I think it's great you're asking this question. As a christian myself, I think it shows you take your relationship with God seriously. You clearly have morals and character, and you want to know if this game violates them.

There's nothing blasphemous in this game. It doesn't talk about Christ, and there's nothing disrespectful toward God in the game. Second, there's a big difference between anything that happens in an imaginary world (fiction) vs reality. I doubt you have problems shooting "people" in a game even though you wouldn't want to do it in real life. This is pretty much the same thing with god games.
