Should a huge Puzzle Quest fan buy this?
I know it's only $1 right now, but that's $1 I could use towards something else if this game is bad.
I'm a huge fan of puzzle quest. How similar is this game to it? |

there is a demo (just not available on steam) and it really did not convince me to buy this. I don't like the match-3-variation used in this one.

I think it's better than Galactrix but not as good as Puzzle Quest. I got my dollar's worth.

If Galctric had this price I would buy it instantly.
And I bought Kingdoms anyways. It's too cheap to pass on it. |

I just want to know if the turns have a time limit. An optional time limit is ok. It's even ok if some of the sub-games have time limits (like the mount training in puzzle quest).
I don't like to be rushed with a count-down timer in the main game. |

Found a demo and answered my own question (not timed)
These guys spared no expense on checking their demo - It comes with a pdf manual. The manual for Puzzle Quest! |

What makes this game different from the others is the gutter around the playfield which shows you pieces waiting to be pushed into play. This adds an element of strategy that isn't in the other games. If you like more randomness in your puzzling then you might want to steer away. I like being able to see what's going to happen as a side effect of my move, planning for it, and wondering how my opponent is planning. There is still an element of randomness as pieces entering the gutters are random, and any number of unknown pieces will drop down after a matchup, as in most games of this sort.
The music is also great, and the cutscenes & story are ridiculous to the point of being priceless. |

Just looking at this game by random, it looks like a cheaper version of Puzzle Quest, I'm gonna pass.
