Black Screen after launch

So a friend gave me a copy of the Baconing from the Thanksgiving sale. I played it the first day. Came back to play some more on the second day and it launches to a black screen. I can hear the audio and scroll up and down through the menus (hear the selections). But can't play the game because there is no video.

I understand today is Black Friday, but didn't expect this from my video game. Any ideas on how to fix this?

No changes to OS, drivers, etc. since the first time it ran without issue.

Add another game to unplayable list. *uninstalls*

Try deleting prefs.ini from \Documents and Settings\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Hothead Games\TheBaconing
