Sonic Advendure DX Pinball...whats this?

Okay so I've been playing and owning at the NIGHTs pinball game in the casino and the first time i went through the forest between the bottom and top pinball games i noticed one bubble between the pillers and the top of the thing NIGHTs is hovering over. the second time I went through there was 2. but the third time there was still only 2. I watched a clip of someone else playing on youtube and I noticed he had 3. what are those odd bubbles for and what happens when you get them all? also how do you get them?
