FastForward bug thread

Hello all, I'm going to start a thread here for bugs discovered post-launch in Data Jammers: FastForward. If you discover a bug, post it in this thread. You are encouraged to also post work-around measures so people can enjoy the game while waiting for an updated version.

Known bugs:

When you press F12 to take a screenshot, it is saved locally as well as in Steam which wastes space.

Version 1.0.1 bug fixes:
Long usernames make highscore list look bad
Gamepad controller "B" button ends game abruptly
Global score list ("top jammers") only shows scores around yours, not the top 10

Hey guys,

I've tried the demo on steam today and I'm experiencing a crash with my Xbox 360 Wireless controller plugged in and turned on when opening up the Joystick/Gamepad configuration screen.

I'm running Windows 7 - Home Premium 32bit

Unfortunately I can not find any usefull information in event viewer.

Hi, are you using a "Wireless Gaming Receiver" to connect the xbox controller to your PC? This appears to be a requirement with the wireless 360 controllers on Windows:

If you already have one, make sure the controller is turned on before you launch the game. Otherwise it might not be recognized.

Yes - I'm using on of those. The controller is plugged in and works just fine in the game

That's strange indeed. I have the wired xbox 360 controller here and it works just fine. I'm going to need a bit more debug information. Sending you a PM with instructions.

OK, looks like I may have found the culprit for your crash issue. It probably affects the full version of the game too. Fix coming soon.

While randomly replaying the game, I've lost keyboard input completely multiple times (All the stuff displayed still is going on. This is not a freeze). After a few seconds, a button I didn't press will register for no particular reason. During this time, I can still use the mouse even though it's not my preferred way to play. After I End Task on the game (Since I can't get to a menu), keyboard is working just fine.

Also, would it be at all possible to drop AA into the game? It'd make the sparse graphics really stand out.

When I start the game, the displayed fullscreen picture is bigger, than my 1920*1080 resolution and it seems, there is no way to change this, in windowed mode I get a 4:3 picture. I run the game on a Geforce 470

After starting the game and waiting for the preliminary loading bar to finish, the game hangs after the bar is full for about five minutes. It's not non-responsive or anything, all the animations continue playing, it's just not 'finished' loading even though the bar is full. Or maybe it is, but it's waiting for something else that's not responding.

i got a core i5 intel HD 3000 machine

and this game gives me <10 framerate!!!!

any fixes? portal 2 runs way smoother!!!

I've been getting the same crashing, all three times after the first track (been working since then). 570 GTX, Logitech F510, Win7 64-bit, nothing unusual, drivers updated.

I speculate it may be related to windowed mode in my case. When I kept it in fullscreen mode, it hasn't crashed so far yet.

Fun game, though!
