Warning before buying - Might not run

Since I see they're on sale, thought I'd chime in.

I bought the Hitman games a while back and was never able to get the first 2 running without horrible graphical issues and crashing.

It's been a while since I've tried, so can't recall specifics, but maybe others can chime in here to either support my warning, or tell me I'm horribly wrong.

Im trying to start hitman blood money but a pop up screen comes up and it says: "Failed to find steam" WTF?! this is bull♥♥♥♥... i want my money back...................... stupid developers

i got the "failed to find steam" issue with Deus Ex 1& 2, turn steam to offline mode then back to online mode fixed it for me, you gotta do it every time you turn on your computer. hope this helped.

Uhm, if you're getting a Steam error then it's not the game developer's fault.

Yes, the first 2 have issues... I'd get the best one, the 3rd one ONLY.

Are you trying to run the game from the executable or a shortcut you made? If so, that's the problem.

• Start the game from within the Steam client.
• To create a shortcut, open Steam and right-click on the game and select "Create Desktop Shortcut". You can now use that shortcut or copy it to where ever you want.
• You might also want to repair the SteamService.exe. Follow the steps below.
  • Windows XP
    • Press Start>Programs>Accessories>Command Prompt
    • Type: "C:\program files\steam\bin\SteamService.exe" -servicerepair (the quotes are important)
    • You can also start the "Run..." command and type in the above
  • Windows Vista/Windows 7
    • Open a search dialog by pressing Start>Search
    • Type cmd and it should be the first one on the list called cmd.exe. Open the command prompt and type the following
    • Type: "C:\program files\steam\bin\SteamService.exe" -servicerepair (the quotes are important)
    • You can also start the "Run..." command and type in the above
  • The window will close or go back to the command prompt when finished.

i'm running windows 7 x64, i had the Can't find steam error too...

I fixed that by forcing steam.exe to run with administrator rights.
