Bought SH3 on winter sale to replace starforce copy but can't even install it
Steam is giving me installation error saying Connection time out.
I have tried support but have not received any reply yet. This never happened to me before. Anyone can offer any help? I tried switching server region and delete the .blob file and have steam reinstalled itself but all to no avail. other game can still download update, etc and another game which I bought on the same day as SH3 is already installed just fine but Silent Hunter 3 just refuses to install as if the files were not hosted at all. Anyone experiencing the same? Or Steam having some kind of problem? Download never even started or to be exact can't be started due to this error. |

The problem is finally solved. For those with smilira problem with any other steam game you need to just keep trying and eventually the download will start after so many errors.
Steam support hasn't even replied back. Steam is not as reliable as I thought it was. Having problem with Skyrim too due to Steam server not responding properly when Skyrim tries to update the game progress. It's not the game's fault but steam's. Bethseda better allow the game launch independently instead having to wait for steam server. Disabling sync only helps the first time as after that the game tries to update the progress again to steam server which will cause the game never to launch because that steam server never properly responded. |
