Kayne and Lynch: Dead Men

I am unable to run the first kane and lynch. I have tried every fix I can find in this forum, CPU affinity, Compatibility Mode, Run as admin, ect.

On start-up I get a black screen and the above error message.
I am running Windows 7 64bit
i7 950(quadcore 3.08ghz)
Nvidia 580 Gtx
18Gb DDR3 Ram
I run K&L 2 fine and also every other game I have, old or new.
