Post-Launch Review: Gratuitous Space Battles
As yet another review of indie month, Post-Launch Reviews covers Gratuitous Space battles. To summarize, there's a surprising amount of depth and complexity, but the gameplay style will probably turn a lot of people off.
What do you think of the hands-off, setup-only approach to space combat? http://postlaunch.blogspot.com/2012/...e-battles.html |

I don't mind the hands off approach as much as I mind the simple graphic explosions. In a game where it's all about the battle and the destruction it would seem like you should have ships being lasered apart, or holes blown through them instead of one death routine of the ship blowing up. I want to see the effects of the weapons I chose. So while I enjoy the detail in ship building it's just not enough to get my money.
