UC fails to launch no error?
UC fails to launch no error appears. I checked my drivers rebooted my pc verified game cache and re restarted steam checked the fire wall, Nothing helps so far. Any ideas? I will try re downloading tonight and see if that helps.

Try right clicking the fouc.exe file, click Compatibility tab and select XP mode.
You do have good enough hardware to run UC? UC eye candy tougher to run than Flatout 2. |

Assuming you're getting at least to the launch options screen, have you tried running it in windowed mode?
It failed silently for me in fullscreen mode, but actually gave me a sensible error (something about failing to initialize games for windows live). Then both fullscreen and windowed modes after tinkering with GFWL

If you don't have Games For Windows Live installed, the game won't start.

Games for windows Live (GFWL) is a program you need to b signed in to play the game, like how steam needs to be running in the backgrd as u play other steam games, except it belongs to microsoft.
A qn i bring over from another thread, is the installation limit imposed by gfwl. Said to b 20-40 times on another site. Can anyone verify if this sad limitation is true? Its bad enough having to launch 2 drm program to play. |

talk about lazy programming. If the game is on steam it should not need another drm you have to type in the CD key and be signed into steam and games for windows live.

I know what you're saying, but lot's of games are like that because they were originally made for GFWL and then later added to the Steam store, and it's probably more to it than that like publisher rights etc.
