Exclamation Petition: A Request For Jedi Knight 4

Hello everyone!

This is what I found on the Internet!
A Petition to revive the Jedi Knight Series!

LINK: Petition: A Request For Jedi Knight 4

Quote:
In May of 1977, George Lucas released "Star Wars," a science-fiction epic that completely changed the way films were made and marketed. Thousands, perhaps now millions, of people came to love this film (later renamed "Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope") and its two sequels: "Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back" and "Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi." Years later many video games, books, comics, and other media has made "Star Wars" a huge hit.Children and adults of all ages fell in love with these films, games and novels within the galaxy far, far away

However, the movies were not enough for the young "Star Wars" fans, and video games have been made since the original Arcade game in the 1970's. By far the most popular first-person action shooting game was "Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II." Released in February of 1995 by Lucasarts. It was a huge hit, selling 952,000 copies world wide. It was such a hit, in fact, 3 more expansions, Mysteries Of The Sith, Jedi Knight: Jedi Outcast, and Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy were made from 1997 to 2003.

The fan base loved all of them, as did the reviewers giving all the expansions an average of 9.0 out of 10 stars. But the game wasn't the only thing that enticed the fans. Kyle Katarn: Mercenary, Imperial, Jedi. Everyone began to love the character that was seemingly a mixture between Luke Skywalker and Han Solo. The point of this petition, however, isn't to tell you how much we love Kyle Katarn, it is to tell you how much we'd love to see a Jedi Knight 4, continuing the story of Kyle Katarn, Jan Ors, and the other characters we've come to love.

To show you how much we mean it, please take the time to check out a few of these sites: http://www.massassi.net/ , http://www.jkdf2.net/, and http://jediknight.net. All of these sites are based off the games and have been a part of the JK Community since the start. They are dedicated to making a stronger Jedi Knight Community, and as of September, 2007 all will be working together to bring back existing clans for the games, such as Jedi Knight Extremist, The Order Of Reborn Jedi, and Jedi Against Sith, to name a few Jedi Knight and Mysteries Of The Sith clans.

This petition wasn't made to force Lucasarts to make a Jedi Knight 4, rather, it is designed to show you that you, Lucasarts, can and will benefit from it. We, the members of the Jedi Knight Fan Community, would like to thank you for bringing to us in the first place, and we would like to ask that you consider a fourth installment in the Jedi Knight game series.

All sites and Clans are Copyright their respective owners, and Jedi Knight: Dark Forces 2 is copyrighted by Lucasarts and Lucasfilm LTD.
Pretty awesome, huh?

LucasArts has said time and again that they will not make another Jedi Knight game. Don't let your hopes drop though. A mod team is working on creating a Jedi Knight 4 mod for Jedi Academy. Here's their ModDB page:
