What is this little tune from?

Finally playing through this and I'm really enjoying it.

Anyway, the part at around 1:17-1:25 in this song, it's a tune I recognize from another video game. I've been sitting here all day trying to remember and piece it together, but my memory's so crappy right now. Anybody know?

I found out I could contact Yann (he made the music) and he told me that tune is from "Passion for Exploring" from VVVVVV (first sound of similar tune starts at around 0:17), in case anyone else was wondering.

Funny that I couldn't remember, considering I really love that game and its music (even had the soundtrack bought and downloaded...).

I also asked Yann if there were other references in more songs (I swear I'm hearing more, but I haven't tried pinpointing them yet), and he told me,
