Best team to race for?
Hey, in my first season and just got contract offers. Wondering which teams are better than other etc.
Is it basically in the order that the teams are seen in Time Trial? I assume teams not given as an option at the start of the season would be better than those available. Any advice/help is welcomed. Thanks! |

ive got only one tip for you
Wait long enough in the season for signing a contract so you have a chance for a good team |

I'm currently at Singapore and have contract offers from Force India, HRT and Sauber. I know HRT suck but would it be worth it to switch to Sauber or Force India or stick with my Williams car?
Sauber was definitely better than those two other teams in the actual season but in the game I have no idea. Also I've completely a fair bit of R&D on the Williams car. |

Does it really matter what team you are with...I won the WDC in a Williams in my first season (all assists off) ai's Expert etc and did not get an offer. Won again in my second season; same settings and did not get an offer...point is; I didn't really need one, as I was winning anyway!. This game is a joke.

I'm not quite as good as you Pete, I'm playing on second difficulty with a 360 controller (no fancy wheel here :/).
I'm second in the WDC but it's been pretty hit and miss, I won 2 races through luck. Webber (1st in WDC) and Hamilton (3rd WDC) had a spectacular crash at Spa and DNF'd. So Force India is faster than Williams you reckon? Anyone know about Sauber? |

@ HugoBob and @ squone.
It is not how good, or, how not so good a driver you are, I was alluding to. I am a very ordinary driver; in good racing sim's, racing against other real drivers. F1 2010 and F1 2011 are unreal, in as much as the cars (to me anyway) are all more or less the same...many, many of us, won the WDC in F1 2010 in a Lotus in our first season...that is barmy by any stretch of the imagination!. Oh yes, of course there was/is, a learning curve, but because of the ai's, it was/is, too gentle a curve. Very early on I just used the Time Trials (now Proving Grounds in 2011) and pounded round at each track, as they came up in career, until I felt I was at the point I could win the race...I did not win every race, but I won enough to win the WDC. The point I am making is; that the car did not matter too much; although I did notice that the fastest car for me was the Force India. Online was totally different...I did not win on a regular basis there!. It is the ai's, that are too predictable, that makes the game unreal, along with cars that are much in the sameness, as far as having to drive them to the limits. Once you have mastered a car, so that you can win the WDC, there is nowhere else to go in the game and I, myself, then soon got bored playing offline. Online was a little better, but full of Demolition Derby boys, which spoiled it for the serious racers. In answer to your question Bob "where am I racing now," well it is still mainly in the Race07 series and the RRGame2 freeby, which puts me where I truely belong...about the middle of the pack!. |

You are right about the AI. They are predictable. They never tried to overtake me btw, I was a Trulli-train!
Race07 is still one of the best games their is. I'm playing that game too!

Virgin.
Faster than the Lotus, and the car textures aren't as awful. |
