Threads vanishing?

Good afternoon.
I as well as many other disatisfied customers have have threads altered or completely deleted in the Stronghold thread.
The alterations were comitted by Lord Alacrity{Firefly Studios}but some of the threads that have vanished leave no trace at all and im sure if Valve had done this we would have gotten notice.
So my question if why does a Firefly rep have the right to come and delete/alter posts on the steam forums as he/she sees fit?

When it comes to questions like this, PM one of the mods. Public discussion of why threads were deleted is a no no.
