Dark Void retail copies with bad discs

This is more of a cautionary thing for all you owners of boxed copies of Dark Void. I got a copy for Christmas, and it refused to install. I assumed the disc was bad, got an exchange for another copy, and hey presto! Same thing over again.

Went through four copies (all the store had left), before I found a working one. You current owners might want to...I dunno...back up your discs somehow without breaking any copyright laws, since they seem to have expiry dates on them.

Awesome game, BTW, but a real PITA to get working.

I get through by copying all the files on the DVD then run the setup.exe on my hard drive...

BTW I don't see any serial number on the back of the manuel
but it clearly says I need one to install/register on capcom...

Yeah, I resorted to doing that with the last copy, but the first three wouldn't even do that for me.

I didn't register and the game installs and plays fine.
