Stuck - The Hungry Beast [spoilers]
Ok, how to I get to Montero to do this quest?
I have completed everything else on the first island, and started exploreing the second, but I am finding it really hard going, like I have missed content. How do I travel to Montero to complete this early quest? All the guides I have found just say "Go to Montero". |

On every island there are a couple of maps which are guarded by very strong( for that island's level) creatures.
Defeat them, grab the map, go to next island. I think you'll need to unlock Verona first before being able to go to Montero. Be sure to clean out all islands completely so that you get the most experience possible. Also look at this. Last edited by Dazzled: 08-07-2011 at 12:18 PM. |

its not rly a quest u can do early on, just leave for when u get to montero and have strong units because the beast has a considerable midgame army.

I think I just had too many losses early on, so I never got my leadership high enough to be competitive. Burnt through all my gold just replacing my army after each fight.
Started the game again, and have been more careful with my first few fights, using Inquisitors to rez my losses. It has enabled me to get the +200 leadership Medal early on. Finding it much easier going now. |

A good way to minimize losses is to use troops that summon other units: Rune Mages, Engineers, Demonologists...
Use the summoned units as cannon fodder. |
