Easy fix for the game crashing.

I was having this problem on my brother's computer:
Hit "Play" in the Steam client, game crashes immediately.

Go to Steam>steamapps>common>nail'd and try running "Activation.exe." After that, in the same folder, hit the Nail'd executable file. What happened to me was that it said I was missing a dll. So I went to http://www.dll-files.com/ and downloaded the dll into Steam>steamapps>common>nail'd and hit the Nail'd application icon. Again, missing dll. The process will repeat 2 or 3 time until you download all the missing dlls. Verifying the cache through Steam did not help. I also added Nail'd to the Data Execution Prevention list on Windows, but I don't know if that helped and I did not undo it after downloading the dlls fixed my problem.

No error message or anything. Just crashes. Never had this problem before. Wondering if it's related to new Nvidia drivers. Haven't rolled back to test that theory though.

The same for me, there's no error message at all. The application just crashes back to the desktop each time I started it.

They are saying that it would be the new Nvidia's driver?. I am not sure about that since the rest of my games are working fine so far.

what were the missing dll files? The game worked before, but not now for me.

I found a fix. Download the demo (I took it off Fileplanet at over 4MB/s) and install it. In the demos directory, find and copy all dll files into your steamapps/common/naild directory. Then the game works.

I have the same problem. Also, we dont need to copy all dll files from pack.

All dll files equal original steam except one: "Haste_x86.dll"

Replace it.

hmmm. just put this on my portable rig. Anyone managed to get this to work on Windows 7 64bit? (i know it only mentions XP & Vista on the store page, just wondering if someone has got it to work on 7)

The above files worked perfectly on Vista 64

Replacing the full game's Haste_86x.dll with that of the demo version works for me on Windows 7 64bit.
