Mouse is unresponsive

Hi, I have the 3 Delta force games on CD (2, land warrior and dagger) but I cant play them on my new laptop as the mouse becomes unresponsive. The intro 'film' is also just black when the games loads. The only way I can move the mouse is move it in the game then alt+tab, reopen it and the mouse will be in the position I moved it to before I alt+tabbed, otherwise the mouse is frozen but I can here it going over menu icons. I got into a single player game doing this and it works fine ingame just not in the menu's. There is no option for window mode in the settings and I have tried running it on my Nvidia 1Gb graphics card and my integrated one.
