I mostly lurk these forums. It always seems as then people posting know way more than me, so having not much to contribute to the discussion, I usually just remain a spectator

The reason I even got involved with Steam in the first place was because I saw an ad that the Orange Box was on sale for a ridiculous price.

After playing the first game and loving it I was all Yippee!

So after finishing the Orange box, with it's cliff hanger ending, of course I wanted more.

At first I would stop by pretty often ( I can't say every day) to see if there was any news about the next episode or game.
Then it kind of dwindled down to once a week or every two weeks until now I just stop by the Half Life section once a month or so with vain hope that something, anything has been mentioned about the next game or episode.

I'll skim the thread titles, see no news or announcements and then just go my merry way.

I've been very happy with Steam. I've gotten a lot of fantastic games at fantastic prices. In fact I put a self imposed "stop buying until I finish all of the games I've already got" rule on myself. (That I've broken twice already. @**%#$ Steam sales!)

Valve as a developer I haven't been so happy with. In fact, after leaving us hanging like that in the story (Literally ) and then going all of this time with nothing but silence on the Half Life series I'm pretty well disgusted with them.

The Half Life games themselves are great. Fantastic. Some of the best stuff ever done.

I'm sure the next game will come out sometime. I'm sure it will be pretty dang great. I'm also sure that no matter how great the game is I'll still be disgusted at how they've handled things.

I immediately came to these forums in hopes of finding some info after finishing Ep 2 for the first time early last year. Been checking in every few days since then hoping for some news relating to the next game.

up until a couple of months ago i checked here frequently - every day, along with the black mesa mod thread. but alas as both teams seem to not reall rate fans very much, i check each less and less- more out of habit than any hope of seeing actual movement. its got the the stage for me that even if hl3 was announced, i dont think id really care all that much, all excitement for the series is dwindling fast, im sure itll arrive and valve will expect a collective WHOOP! from the community, i dont think as many people will care as might have done. only themselves to blame. not that theyll care, theyll still be rich and popular, but in the future their past will have this rather substantial blip. silly silly

Been lurking in the ep2 forums since it got released.Though in the last year not so much, quite slow here.

If there is anything new though, I start checking every day, like I am doing now.

I've abandoned Black Mesa forums though.

I check everyday in case of a rumor or something, and while those are few and far between, I'd rather not miss anything.
