Wargame: European Escalation?

I've just seen this on daily deals its not out until next weekish as a big time Company of Hero's fan this game looks stunning graphics wise and its set in modern day.

Anyone know if there's a single player campaign or is this one going to be mostly about the online side, I've heard nothing about it until seeing it today so hopefully its done well and not a bad game?

Been looking for a modern day strategy game like this since playing C&C Zero hour years ago.

Well its by the same company that made RUSE. So at least there's a petigree there in terms of RTS kinds of gameplay.

Beyond that yeah I've not heard anything about it until recently.

But it appears to use an updated engine that RUSE used. Also since it's PC only, it appears that the 'consolification' of the game should be minimal.

It is even the same Engine as Ruse, just very much improved. For example, you have real unit scale now. You zoom out to see the Table like in RUSE or zoom in to see all the action in the correct scale.
I am so waiting for this game .

Act of War is from Eugen Systems either, which was a blast to play. Those french guys really know how to make RTS.

Not that it matters because we all know what you're talking about, but it's not a "daily deal". The daily deal is a daily deal (a game with a price that is almost a steal!) and today my friend it is Jedi Knight pack. I've come over all Seuss, what d'ya think about that?

Pretty interesting game. I LOVED Act of War. Haven't played RUSE though.
Looks like a really nice game

RUSE is the worst RTS game ever.
It was a RTS game for consoles: playability was minimal and the game had no depth at all. Fugly graphics, poor gameplay, absolutely no micro at all.
I won't buy this new game until I play a demo. No demo, no game.

Got in from work, made a snack and started the download about 5 minutes ago. At 81% so I'll give it a quick go tonight before I hit the hay. There will be singleplayer, but if you buy now it's just the multiplayer beta available.

Unfortuantely there isn't much info or media available.

Ruse was the worst ever, are you sure about that?

Unluckily, the guy who recorded the video was more concerned about winning the game than showing what the game is like, how units work, etc.
From what I saw, the game looks a lot like the infamouse RUSE and this is very bad news.
Do units have abilities or is this just about select all and move?
I want micromanagement.
