Hey Guys,
I just bought the Jedi Knight Collection and "tried" to download Jedi Academy . It worked until my antivirus software found something called jamp.exe . Its located in D?...\Steam\steamapps\downloading\6020\GameData\ja mp.exe'

I dont think that ill get a virus from a steamgame but can anyone tell me what this is .exe is?

That makes sense . Still , why is my Virussoftware telling me that its a virus? I finished downloading the game and the singleplayer works fine but if I try to start the MP it tells me that the Game is not available right now .

Avira also flags jamp.exe as a trojan, causing the download to go into pause mode indefinitely. Apparently, this is a modified multiplayer executable which has had the 'CD needed in drive' patched out à la GCW noCD cr*cks.

I've put jamp.exe into the exceptions list as a FP (I also had to do this with AvP_Classic.exe) - I trust VALVe not to be uploading trojans to my box.

Weirdly, once the game has completed it's installation (into steamapps\common\Jedi Academy\GameData) the file in question is suddenly deemed clean.

Go figure...
