Demigod is the best of these games:
1 - rather than having 100 copy paste heroes it has ten that are very different and superbly balanced.
2 - Surviving an encounter or not is not down to who clicks their skill first as it is in LoL and DotA2 as it is impossible to 1 hit kill anyone so you get a chance to retreat in Demigod if you are outmatched.
3 - There is more than one map.
4 - Demigods are not arbitrarily assigned one side or the other, they can all be on the Dark Team or Light Team as the user picks them.
5 - The Demigods themselves have a much more complex progression and skill set than the Heroes in DotA2
6 - Demigod was the first stand alone game in this genre, and is to this day the only one that isn't a carbon copy of the Warcraft mod, for that reason alone it deserves your time.

Haven't played Demigod in a while, but it came back to my mind when i played playing DOTA 2 yesterday.. how much more liked it vs DOTA.

Me likes it, sadly demigods launch in 2009 was a mess...
