Gothic 3 recommended patches

Gothic 3 patch process is as follows (newer mods may be available on the same sites, but these are what worked for me):

community patch 1.74 first

quest patch 4.2 second

Content Mod 2.2 last

quest patch requires the community patch, content mod requires the quest patch
not sure where all the high res textures live, they all add tons of armors and suits

Quest Patch seems to be German is there any English version ?

What the Content Mod 2.2 adds to the game ?

The download link will show the change list. It all comes out english, maybe the content mod updates the quest patch to english, not sure. There is a bit of spoken german during the initial cutscene but all other dialogue and text is english.

Looks like everything works perfectly.

I'm just curious now, should i start a new game?do i miss anything important if i continue my save game(lvl 36 atm).

I don't really mind if i have to but so far all this addons work perfectly.

I can't really say, but I think some of the things have to be started from scratch in order to be applied. I'd save your game and restart with alternate balancing as an experiment. Don't like it, go back. From what I recall previous (non community) patches screwed up armor class or some such.

Well i was playing with just the 1.74 cm and with the AB turn on , i will start a new game and see but backing up my old save first

Makes the game access 4 gb ram instead of 2 gb. (Cause it's a 32 bit application)

What a nifty tool! Does it run well with VAC related games? I guess not. :/

yes. there is some spoken german during the first/only cutscene, the rest is english.

just a question: the quest pack 4.2 is a standalone new adventure for Gothic 3?

I'm at 15 minutes of gameplay. It is a good idea to install Quest Pack 4.2 after playing normal Gothic 3?

Just wanted to bump this up for those who might have purchased the game in this weeks sale.

The game is VERY enjoyable with all of these patches.

I have some stuttering in the game, but otherwise it runs flawlessly and looks beautiful!
