Game doesn't launch

So I decided to play this game today after a long time but when I click play, it goes to "preparing to launch empire total war" then this screen disappears, comes back etc and keeps on looping like that. Won't launch. I tried reinstalling and everything, won't work.

bump, i have the same problem, verifying gamecache doesnt work.
