Sonic 4 doesn't launch

I have tried to launch game in several ways, but no use...
If I try to launch it from steam, nothing happens. If I click .exe files in folder, I get message, that msvcp100.dll file is missing (I checked and even redownloaded this file, put it in windows32 folder, tried to put file in game folder, but it makes no differ). Please, help me :s

Have you tried verifying the game's cache? That fixes most problems!

Open up steam, right click Sonic the hedgehog: Episode 4 and select properties. Then open the "local files" tab and select verify verify. Let it find and replace any missing or corrupt files and then try again.

Yep, checked cache several times. All files are in place :s This doesn't help me

Alright, can you try doing the steps outlined here in post 2? I know you've said you redownloading the file but I still think it's worth a try as it fixed the other person's problem (in an entirely different game!)

If that doesn't help then I suggest you contact Sega support.

I did this several times too. Tryed again now. It tells me, that newer version is installed already.
How can I contact Sega support?

Try installing 2008 package, too: http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=29

I'm also experiencing this problem. No ones found a fix for this yet?

Installing the Sonic Generations demo worked for me.

If you try and run sonic_vis.exe rather than sonic_launcher.exe, it comes up with an error "This application has failed to start because d3dx9_42.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix the problem." I had a few versions of the Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable (newer versions too), but the one bundled with Sonic Generations is 8.0.56336. Presumably you need that specific version.
