OMG, did I just delete my character?

Just horsing around I created a new player. I didn't start playing him. I just wanted to see what the male character looked like. I quit the game and went back after a week and I don't see the other character that I put 70 hours into. I don't see a way to get to that character. Does this game only allow you to have one character at a time? Did I delete all my progress by creating this new guy? I don't remember seeing a warning that creating a new guy would delete my other guy.

There should be arrows underneath the render of your character that allows you to cycle through all of your characters.

Here is a screenshot clearly showing the arrows surrounding the box showing my character's name, class, and level.

All I have is "create" or "delete". My main character is gone and I have this new guy. I am screwed.

Look in the directory:
C:\Users\(username)\Documents\My Games\Titan Quest - Immortal Throne\SaveData\Main

is there any folder with your previous character name?

SaveData\main\myPreviousName\

In this there is a backup folder, a levels_world folder, player.char and saving

What, if anything, do I do with these?

Sorry for being late..

So, if you found this folder then we are sure that your character is there and not deleted. Maybe you should back him up before we continue.

Now, it's probably a silly bug. I have two possible solutions in mind.

First, I would simply cut and paste the whole folder somewhere else and I would start the game and close it.
After I would cut and paste the folder back in its starting place and start the game again.
Maybe this will "unlock" the user interface.

If this won't work, maybe you should re-install the game.

I did both those things and now I have no charcter in the game. The only thing I can do now is start all over.

I don't know if this has anything to do with anything, but there's a text document in my character's name's folder. It's called "saving" and there is nothing in the document.

hmm, that is really strange.. I assume that you have copied your old character back, after the re-install..

it's really strange that everything started after you made a new character..

have you searched a solution somewhere else around net? I ll keep looking and if I find anything I ll let you know!
