Unpatched game

hi I have Empire Total War, my friends and i want to play online campaign but we cant because in the lobby it doesn't show the tab for me and i don't have an option to play mp campaign. could this be an unpatched game? I have been trying for ages to find out how to patch the game but i don't know how. could someone help me please.

Nothing to do with Steam Community, so this moves to the ETW area.

Apparently the ETW multiplayer campaign is beta so it isn't included in the main game, so you need to get a separate key.

Found some instructions on the official forums on how to get one since Sega Pass is still offline.

Essentially you have to write to UK Sega support and ask them for the code, and then activate it on Steam.

Edit: Or actually you should try customersupportuk@sega.co.uk as suggested here
