No steam found
Got devil may cry 3 special edition in the steam holiday gift giveaway
finaly got around to instaling it and i just get a pop up saying "no steam found" then it opens my web browser to the steam store. tried running it as admin and with diffrent compatapilities, no dice. also happens with controller configuration tool but it just says "keypad not compatable" (im useing a 360 controller if that helps) any advice may help. thanks. |

Mine does all that too. If I try to open the game from Steam it just crashes immediately with an error message.

I opened a Steam support ticket and referenced the fact that several people on the forums are unable to play the game they payed for. This was a week ago though and they are not responding.

this error does appear a lot for me aswell, but simply closing steam and reopenig before starting the game always works for me

so we have no fix for this? I paid 20 bucks for this game (my first experience with DMC.) I was really looking forward to it. my system is WAY beyond the req so I know it's not that.
I get this error "Application error: Failed to find steam." I tried opening and reopening steam. Nothing works. update: got it to work by opening steam with admin rights. |

Restarting steam usually fixes this error for me, but if anyone has a more suitable fix please post it here.
