Portal CD-Key Not Working

i recently bought Portal 2 in store and the cd-key did not work i was wondering if someone could give me one plz. that would be helpful

In what kind of store did you buy it?
A real store with a game in a box? Then return it there and tell them what your problem is.

Or is it a key from an online store? If it is a legitimate source, they should be able help you.

Anyway, you can always contact steam support with this problem. Their answer can take some days time, be patient and do not create more than one ticket.

Edit: Support can't help you if your key is not legit. You should try to get your money back if you bought from some shady online key seller.

Sorry, but we can't help you unless you give us more information. "The cd-key did not work" could mean a lot of things. Specifically what error are you getting?

EDIT: Wow, really misread that. Is it just me, or does somebody want a free game key?

You can't expect someone to give you a CD key for free, it's against the forum rules under soliciting and begging.
