Post Can my PC handle The First Templar?

Can my PC handle The First Templar in high settings? I would at least like to be able to run The First Templar in high settings on my full native resolution of 1680 x 1050.

My PC specifications are:

OS: Windows 7™ Ultimate 32-bit (SP1)
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU E8400 @ 3.00GHz (2 CPUs), ~3.0GHz
Memory: 3070MB RAM
Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce GT 240
Resolution: 1680 x 1050
DirectX Version: DirectX 11 (Video card only supports up to 10.1)

I doubt it with your GT 240 at that resolution.

I reckon you'll be fine, OP - assuming the game's requirements are acurate.

The 240 goes up to 2560x1600, Mebbwebb.

well, d'oh, that doesn't mean you can automatically play any game smoothly in that resolution.

The First Templar isn't terribly demanding on the hardware side, though. you should be fine.

260M is Mobile. Those are a lot weaker than their desktop counterparts. Even though this is a GTX and not a GTS, you still may have to turn down some of the settings. But playable? Almost certainly.

that's what it alluded to, IMO. he was asking if his GPU would perform adequately in this game, and you told him it could go up to 1600p, suggesting he could play the game at that resolution.

but whatever. the game isn't terribly demanding, so a 240 ought to be enough to run it alright.

Well, I'm sorry you inferred that meaning - it certainly wasn't meant.

I was replying to something I thought was alluded to by someone else, which I thought was a stupid thing to allude without giving the game's recommended specifications

I think this game has very poor optimisation because I set the game to ultra @ 1920 x 1080 and the game lags so much it is unplayable! My PC more than meets the recommended requirements also:

CPU - Intel Core i7 2600k @ 3.4GHz
GPU - NVIDIA GTX590
RAM - 16GB DDR3
HDD - 1.81TB (2 x 1TB in RAID0)
OS - Windows 7 Ultimate x64 / Windows 8 Beta x64
