Game not working with Gameranger

Hi, I'm trying to play with a friend over gameranger, but gameranger can't find my game. When I select the age3.exe file found in steamapps > common > Age of Empires 3 > bin, I am told that it's an invalid selection. My friend does not have the steam version and it works for him. If anyone knows a workaround it would be appreciated.

Company of heroes and medieval 2 Total War do work, so I am wondering what is up.

Why would you use gameranger instead of the online function?

Sometimes it's hard joining a game when everybody keeps kicking the low level player. Luckily though, I found out from the GameRanger developer that he'll include AOE3 Steam in the next update, which should be coming soon.

latest gr include aoe3 steam version. probably your gr was automaticly updated already.
