Not getting credit for trapped enemies

There must be something I don't understand about the trapped spell. I've set traps and caught several enemy stacks during battles, but the Trapper medal continues to show me with "0" trapped enemies. Does your trap have to destroy the entire enemy stack or something?

Thanks for any info.

The trap has to kill the stack of units for it to count. So usually it's better to beat up the units a little bit, then kill them off with the trap. It's worth doing IMO just because 3 random traps at the end, giving high dmg in every map, is pretty good

Yeah, I finally got some info on this a few days ago. I decided not to worry about traps. Too laborious to finish off stacks with them and too costly in mana for my warrior. I'd just as soon put my mana into healing and buffs. I've only got two stones to go and I'll be finishing up AP. Thanks for the reply though.

It's best to get trap medals right at start, if you start to late stacks tend to be to big to kill easily with the traps.

In my current mage game i finished trap medal3 after 34 fights.
