Man, I hate the purple shield guys

Those purple shield guys are really the worst enemy in the game, especially when there are other enemies in their shield radius. Those other enemies shoot at you and you just cannot hurt them back but trying to fly through the shields gets you shot at point blank range. It also doesn't help that the purples often appear as walls that block ALL attacks from reaching the right side of the screen and that you can't tell purple shields from other kinds of circles in inverted color mode.
