Seriously i paid 20$ for this game like last year and it wasn't on sale.
I bet they just raised the price so the could put it on holiday sale and still make what the were charging for it before

Yeah, they did. It was 39.99$ before the sale. Cheap fools. In reality, they only cut the price by 6 dollars.

Ja, wtf indeed. The boxed version is $10 or $15 @ amazon (.ca and .com).

SE is trying to milk steamers, but they should realize that 3 year old jrps with a metascore of 66 are a pretty hard sell to Western players.

I was going to take a chance on this game for $10, but not for $30 or $50 or whatever. & because I only buy PC games from steam, I'll be skipping this one.

I got mine for 5$ during a ~95% sale. One of the best game out there in quite some time.

eh??? wow, i'm jealous. been wanting to get this games for sometimes but i refuse spend more then 10 bucks on a game this old with a metacritic in the 60s...

Of course, i also think Squenix should be shot for jacking up the price just in time for the holiday sale.

It's been $10 on here on at least 4 or 5 different occasions. I don't remember it going to $5, but if you wait a while $10 should certainly come back around.

The PC version is far superior to the 360 version. Not only did the 360 version have slowdowns, but there were literally hundreds of game mechanics and balance changes, almost all in the PC's favor. It's practically a remake instead of a port.

My faith was blasted when FF 8 came out. Boy meets girl, boy loses girl, boy finds girl again, girl loses boy and dog, boy finds dog, boy and dog find girl.... UGH!! 12 was what really killed it, though. Putting helmets on all the main bad guys so we couldn't tell one from another was grade-A stupid.

But this game is actually reasonably good when it comes to story. Rush has a peanut for a brain but that's OK, the game has plenty of other characters. And the battle system is, IMHO, extremely fun.
