Why is this sold without a warning?

tldr: if it were sold with an appropriate warning, fewer people would buy it.

I mean seriously.
What.
No warning on the store page!

If you read the thread you'll know that it will be investigated. Some drm are inert as per http://steamdrm.flibitijibibo.com/the-big-drm-list/

The post after the one you linked:

It doesn't definitely have DRM, which could explain why there's no warning.

It was actually confirmed to have an activation process using a typical Starforce key format (in that very same thread no less).

Now all that we need to know is what activation limits (if any) there are.

Wow... I wish I knew this ahead of time. I wouldn't have bought it if I knew. I hate starforce, it's worse than a freaking virus

You can ask Steam support if they will refund you (to your credit card ideally, not your Steam wallet) as the store page has no third party DRM warning.

Bought this game and actually liked it quite much and now this

"...
In 2009 ActControl licensed protection engine from well known StarForce Technologies company and started to improve it independently.

In 2010 ActControl presented its own software protection and licensing solution based of StarForce’s technologies, but deeply rebuilt and modified.
..."

This would have been a definite "do not buy", at least for me. Trying to get a refund.

Starforce installs a rootkit that not only hogs system resources, but also opens system vulnerabilities. Not to mention that people dont like installing a rootkit or getting tricked into it by a product they payed for.
