According to some of my steam buddies, Saints Row: The Third requires a THQ account for co-op. Can anyone confirm?

Not required for co-op but is required for community features (character and screenshot sharing).

I think all the Total Wars use Gamespy for multi-player.

I know Rome does.

Why would Empire, Napoleon and Shogun 2 use Gamespy? All 3 of those use Steamworks as far as I can tell.

http://steamdrm.flibitijibibo.com/faq/

I'll get to updating the page momentarily.

Edit: Updating the page with Saints Row 3, but I'm not sure I understand the Total War one. I see like thirty different games under Total War, with 2 marked as Rome. Is it both, or one...?

I have no clue what the Dawn of War order is, so if I could get a complete list that'd be great.

I'll add the others though.

Edit: Added Titan Quest + Immortal Throne and Hunted: The Demon's Forge.

Well I just said I know Rome does, as in Rome is a guarantee

Gamespy is only for multiplayer if you didn't know.

Its Rome: Total War Gold Edition OP. Go to my profile and the recently played games and you will see it.

Some info I got from Rockstar support about GameShield DRM in L.A. Noire:

"Internet connection is required for a one-time activation and then you will not need an Internet connection to continue playing. There are limited number of activations available, but if you only install on computers you own there shouldn't any issue unless the key is used excessively.
[...]
To avoid potential fraud, we have not released information about the maximum number of activations or the reset timer. We can assure you that you would be able to legitimately use the same code on your own computers; it would only become disabled if abused and used escessively. After activation with Internet, you would not need an Internet connection to continue playing on that computer, so there would not be a chance of it becoming disabled."

So to recap, there is a limited number of activations and a reset timer on that number, although Rockstar won't reveal the details for security purposes, but once the product is activated an Internet connection is no longer required.

(I even asked them to confirm the above summary and the reply was "That's all correct. ")

For me that's the limit of what's acceptable in DRM thanks to that reset timer, so I'm gonna buy it. I just wished that information was more easily available.
